COMMITTEES and AUXILIARIES

CEMETARY - Responsible for the management and maintenance of the Hills of Eternity cemetery and House of Peace Mausoleum, establishes policies and fees.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS - Generates publicity for Temple events and oversees Temple publication.

LIFE LONG LEARNING - Develops and promotes adult educational activities, including lectures, study groups, classes, etc.

DUES REVIEW - Monitors the level of dues and implements changes when appropriate. Responsible for the collection of delinquent accounts.

FACILITIES - Oversees the operation and maintenance of the physical plant, including major improvements, excluding the cemetery.

FINANCE - Periodically reviews financial activities, oversees budget development and regularly reports status to the Board.

INVESTMENT - Manages the investment of endowments and restricted funds and regularly reports status to the Board.

LIBRARY - Develops rules and regulations concerning the operation of the Library and promotes and monitors use.

WELCOMING - Helps welcome new members into the Temple family, facilitates involvement and helps create connections within the Temple community.

CARING COMMUNITY COMMITTEE - Supplements the professional staff in visiting the sick, comforting the bereaved, helping with transportation needs, providing emotional support and performing a variety of para-rabbinic duties

OUTREACH - Develops programs to involve Jews-By-Choice and inter-married families in congregational life.

RELIGION SCHOOL / YOUTH ACTIVITIES - Functions as "Board of Education" for the Religion School and provides guidance in establishing standards, curriculum, tuition, etc. Develops and implements youth programs and policies. 

TIKKUN OLAM COUNCIL (T.O.C.) - Creates and publicizes opportunities for Temple members to find effective involvement in the community through the performance of mitzvot and ma'asim tovim (good deeds); educates Temple members about community needs and larger social issues; and develops programming and educational partnerships and relationships with individuals and organizations in the Jewish and broader communities.

WORSHIP - Serves in an advisory capacity to the Senior Rabbi in areas of ritual and spiritual observances of the Temple.
